Who Do You Love?

When you think about Love, who comes to mind?  Of course you love your family and friends; but, what about those who mistreat you?  Jesus gave specific instructions about who to love.  Not only are we to love our family, friends and neighbors, we are also to love our enemies.   A demonstration of that love is to pray for them.  Not there yet.  Not to worry, all you have to do is be willing and ask God for His help.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Matthew wrote, “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.”  Matthew 5:43-45 (NKJV)
