Unity
Unity
Yesterday, I witnessed a loving family say goodbye to their Dad. He had been a deacon and Sunday School teacher in our church in years past. Although unified in grief; they were confident of their Dad’s eternal home. I saw no tears. There was laughter and joy when they shared the funny stories of life with their Dad and Mom. He had lived a life before them to show them the love of God, which united them in peace at his passing. Wouldn’t you like to have that kind of unity? Unity comes when we humble ourselves and walk with the Lord.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:1-3 (NKJV)
Today, spend time with the Lord and live in peace.
