Times and Seasons

As we leave the season of Spring and approach Summer, there are certain things we know to expect. In Texas, we expect heat and lots of sun. In God’s word we find other types of seasons.  Specifically, there are seasons related to the return of Jesus, which is the season in which we are living.  Paul tells us we are to watch and be aware of what is going on around us so that we are not taken unaware. If you are not a believer, your destiny is that of eternal damnation; but you can change your destiny and be saved by asking Jesus to forgive your sins and save you. Paul said it best, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10)

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.  But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.” 1 Thessalonians 5:1-4 (KJV)

Today, won’t you confess and believe in Jesus before the time and season runs out?.
