Struggles

Do you struggle each day with doing what is right?  Our message Sunday was about struggles.  One of the things (and there were many) I got out of that message was: As long as we walk with the Lord each day, we will struggle against unrighteousness; because we live in a fallen world. There is an old hymn that comes to mind with words such as . . .”This world is not my home, I’m just a passin’ through. My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue.  The Angels beckon me from heavens open door and I can’t feel at home in this world anymore.”

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world;” Titus 2:11-12 (KJV) 

Today, remember this world is not your home and it is the struggles we face that keep us trusting the Lord.
