Steps

When your child takes those first steps, a parent’s biggest concern is that they will fall and hurt themselves.  We watch over them to protect them.  When those children become teenagers, a parent’s biggest concern is where their children’s steps are taking them. As a parent is excited about their child’s first steps and their steps throughout life, so God is excited about the steps we take each day.  The difference is when children are young, parents can guide their steps; however, as a teenager, one hopes the guiding hand of God will watch over them and protect them from the evil of this world. The Psalmist encourages us that we can be assured of God`s protective hand.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Psalmist recorded, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.” Psalm 37:23-24 (KJV)

Today, be encouraged – God is ordering your steps and protecting you .
