Remember the story of Naaman, who had leprosy. He went to see Elisha,
who told him to dip himself seven times in the river Jordan and he would
be healed. Now Naaman was angry and went away; but his servants said,
“And his servants came near and said to him, My father, if the prophet had
bid you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much
rather, then, when he says to you, Wash and be clean?” So Naaman obeyed
Elisha and was healed of his leprosy. When you think of salvation, do you
think it’s too hard. Well it’s not! Jesus did the work and requires us to simply
acknowledge, confess and believe in Him to be saved.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “Because if you acknowledge and
confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere
to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you
will be saved. For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and
relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God),
and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his
faith) and confirms [his] salvation.” Romans 10:9-19 (AMPC)
Today, may the Lord Bless you with simple faith to believe.
