Rest

Perhaps you have been praying for someone and haven’t seen an answer to your prayers and feel as though you want to give up.  Ministering to the needs of others can be exhausting.  When Jesus ministered to those around Him, at times, He would find a quiet place where He would spend time with the Father to be refreshed.   Paul said, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” (Galatians 6:9)  Jesus said, when we are in need of rest, we are to come to Him.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Matthew recorded Jesus when he said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”  Matthew 11:28-30 (KJV)
