Do you ever think about Heaven? How do you feel about where you will spend eternity? Are you absolutely sure you will spend eternity in heaven? Peter encouraged the “pilgrims” who were dispersed throughout all Asia to think soberly and rest their hope “fully” upon the grace that will be brought to them and us when Jesus returns. In other words, rest in His promises.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Psalmist wrote, “Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 1:13 (NKJV)
Today, rest in the promises of God’s word and be confident of your eternal destiny in Jesus.
