Purchased

Have you ever purchased something to refurbish it?  When you refurbish
an item, you give it a new life and change the way it looks and perhaps is
used.  When Jesus purchased us with His very life, he gave us new life and
makes us useful for His purpose.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Peter wrote, “You must know (recognize) that
you were redeemed (ransomed) from the useless (fruitless) way of living
inherited by tradition from [your] forefathers, not with corruptible things
[such as] silver and gold, But [you were purchased] with the precious blood
of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a [sacrificial] lamb without blemish or
spot.”  1 Peter 1:18-19 (AMPC)

Today, give thanks for you redemption.
