Pray

When you pray, do you believe God will answer your prayers? Why/Why not?  I have heard people say “I don’t believe my prayers get beyond the ceiling.” Many times we base our prayers on what we feel and not on who God is.  If you are a Christian, then you are a child of God and as your Father, he desires to give you what you pray for – provided you are not praying amiss.  We are to “pray without ceasing; pray in the spirit; pray with thanksgiving; pray with forgiveness; watch and pray; pray that you enter not into temptation; pray for our leaders; and many other reasons/methods to pray. God loves you so much and he desires that you pray (talk) to Him about your inner most needs, desires, hurts and situations.  He is not oblivious to you or your situation and it did not take Him by surprise – so talk to Him and let Him comfort you. 

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Paul wrote, “For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;” Colossians 1:9 (KJV)
