Pant

Have you ever watched a dog when he is hot and thirsty?  His tongue
hangs out and he breaths hard.  When he gets to water, he drinks until
his thirst is satisfied. Have you ever been thirsty for God’s word?  Many
times we are thirsty for God’s word; but, have not been able to recognize
that thirst for what it is.  We attempt to satisfy that thirst with other things.
However, nothing satisfies that panting thirst except God’s word.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Psalmist wrote, “As the deer pants for
streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.”  Psalm 42:1 (NIV)

Today, satisfy your thirst for God by studying His word.
