Noise
I think we have become accustomed to the noise around us. All too often when driving around town, I hear deafening, chest vibrating noise coming from a vehicle around me. These sounds remind me of the story of Elijah when he was running from Jezebel, who was out to kill him. Elijah was instructed to go the mountain of Horeb, which he did. While on the mountain, the Lord passed by and there was a strong wind, an earthquake, a fire and then a still small voice. Had Elijah lived in our time, he might never have heard that still small voice. God wants to speak to you. Will you shut out some of the noise around you and take time to listen?
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, 1 Kings records, “And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.” 1 Kings 19:11-12 (KJV)
Today, devote some quiet time to hearing God speak to you.
Remember God Loves you and I Do Too.
