Treasure

A couple of definitions of treasure is “to retain carefully or keep in store,
as in the mind” and “to regard or treat as precious; cherish.” People have
found buried treasure worth lots of money; or treasured many objects and
belongings. A mother treasures memories of her children when growing up.
Memories are treasures of the heart. Although, Mary treasured the things
told to her by the shepherds, the impact of just who Jesus was/is became
more evident as He grew to be a man. He was the treasure given for the
world.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Luke recorded, “So they hurried off and found
Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they
had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them
about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds
said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in
her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the
things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.”

Today, find the treasure of Jesus, who loves you so.
