The Day

Second in a Series

Do you have an alarm system in your home or a big bad dog? Are you
concerned about burglaries? So you are prepared for a thief. What
about the day of the Lord’s return? How should we prepare for that
day? The Apostle Peter has a few words about the day.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Peter wrote, “But the day of the Lord will
come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements
will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be
laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of
people ought you to be?” 2 Peter 3:10-11 (NIV)

Today, think about what kind of person you are and what kind of person
you want to be.
