Morning Thoughts – Signs

Signs

There are signs everywhere. Signs give us direction and help us to know
what to expect when there is construction and danger ahead. When Jesus
was leaving the temple, his disciples were discussing how great the buildings
were. Jesus replied to them, “Do you see all these? Truly I tell you, there
will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”
(Matthew 24:2b AMP) Well the disciples wanted to know “when will this
take place, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end (the
completion, the consummation) of the age?” (Matthew 24:3b AMP) They
wanted a sign; however, in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21, Jesus gave
them many signs. We would do well to read and ask the Holy Spirit for
understanding of these signs.

Jesus said, “And what I say to you I say to everybody: Watch (give strict
attention, be cautious, active, and alert)!” Mark 13:37 (AMP)

Today, watch for the signs. They are unfolding before our very eyes.
