Morning Thoughts – Sacrifice
Sacrifice
What does it mean to sacrifice? Webster defines sacrifice as ” the act
of giving up something that you want to keep especially in order to get
or do something else or to help someone” and “an act of offering to a
deity something precious.” As parents we sacrifice for our children; in
the old testament sacrifices were offered to God for sin and in the New
Testament, God sacrificed Jesus for our sins.. Now God asks us to be a living sacrifice to Him.
Paul says it this way, “I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you
in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your
bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice,
holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your
reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.”
Romans 12:1 (AMP)
Today, make a decision of dedication to God to be a living sacrifice.
Be Blessed and Be a Blessing.
Remember God loves you and I do too.
