Morning Thoughts – Responsibility of Praise
Responsibility of Praise
Did you know we have a responsibility related to Praising God? Well we
do! The Book of Psalm was the Hebrew song book (a book of Praise).
Down through the ages since the birth of Jesus, some of the elements of
Praise have been silenced. Generations ago, people Praised God with
shouts of Joy, songs and yes (dare I say it) even dance. Our generation
sings verses 1, 2, and 4 of a hymn and then sits quietly during the preaching
service. Perhaps we don’t praise God as the Psalmist and the Jewish people
because the previous generation did not teach us how. We are behind the
curve and need to get up to speed so we and the next generation will know
how to praise our God for His goodness, faithfulness, forgiveness and blessings.
The Psalmist wrote, “So we, Your people and sheep of Your pasture, Will
give You thanks forever; We will show forth Your praise to all generations.”
Psalm 79:13 (NKJV)
Today, spend some time reading the Psalms and learn how God wants to
be praised – then teach your children and grandchildren.
Be Blessed and Be a Blessing.
Remember God Loves You and I Do Too.
