Morning Thoughts – Renewed

Renewed

Have you ever renewed the finish on a piece of old furniture? The first
thing is to strip off all of the old finish. You can’t put a new finish over
the old. It will not match and will look spotty. You will see the old and
new mixed together and it will not be pleasing. When we become a
Christian, we allow God to strip off all the old and give us a renewed
mind and put on His nature. Just like stripping the old finish off a piece of
furniture, the process is never easy; but the end result is a beautiful finish.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “And be constantly renewed in the
spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude],And put
on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, [Godlike]
in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:23,24 (AMP)

Today, surrender to the process of renewal. God has your best interest at
heart and He will give you a beautiful finish.
