Morning Thoughts – Purpose

Purpose

Purpose is defined as “the reason for which something is done or
created or for which something exists.” Our purpose for existing
and the reason we were created is best revealed in and throughout
God’s Word. In the beginning, we were created in God’s image to
“be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.” That purpose is ongoing.
Paul encourages us with God’s current purpose for us.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “In Him we also were made
[God’s] heritage (portion) and we obtained an inheritance; for we
had been foreordained (chosen and appointed beforehand) in
accordance with His purpose, Who works out everything in agreement
with the counsel and design of His [own] will, So that we who first
hoped in Christ [who first put our confidence in Him have been
destined and appointed to] live for the praise of His glory!”
Ephesians 1:11-12 (AMP)

Today, live for the praise of God’s glory and fulfill your purpose.
