Preparation

We prepare for work, school, vacation and a host of other things.
How are you preparing to deal with the evil in our world. Our pastor
recently asked the question, “When the devil comes knocking on your
door, do you want to answer it or do you want Jesus to answer it?”
In a world of turmoil, we must prepare and be ready for the days
ahead. Paul had some words of encouragement as you prepare.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “Stand firm then, with the
belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of
righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness
that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up
the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming
arrows of the evil one.” Ephesians 6:14-16 (NIVJ)

Today, spend some time in preparation – get into God’s word.
