Overcoming Rewards
Are you ever tempted? Who isn’t right? What we do with
temptation is paramount! James wrote, “Blessed is the man
that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive
the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that
love him.” (James 1:12 KJV) So do you want a crown of life?
Revelation records no condemnation to the Philadelphia Church
because they were a missionary church and they shared the
good news of Jesus.
Revelation records Jesus words, “Because thou hast kept the
word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of
temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them
that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that
fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Him that
overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and
he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of
my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new
Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God:
and I will write upon him my new name.”
Revelation 3:10-12 (KJV)
Today, resist temptation, hold fast to Jesus and share His love
with someone.
