Morning Thoughts – In Charge
In Charge
(Fifth in a series)
Who’s in charge when you are away from home? Is it someone you trust
or do you leave your possessions in charge of just anyone? Most likely
you leave your worldly possessions with someone you trust to do a good
job and care for things as you would. Jesus did the same, He left us in
charge until he returns. We each have our own tasks to perform and are
to be constantly alert and watch for Him.
Jesus said, “It is like a man [already] going on a journey; when he leaves
home, he puts his servants in charge, each with his particular task, and
he gives orders to the doorkeeper to be constantly alert and on the watch.
Therefore watch (give strict attention, be cautious and alert), for you do
not know when the Master of the house is coming—in the evening, or at
midnight, or at cockcrowing, or in the morning—[Watch, I say] lest He
come suddenly and unexpectedly and find you asleep.
Today, awaken – you are in charge until Jesus returns.
Be Blessed and Be a Blessing.
Remember God Loves You and I Do Too.
