Morning Thoughts – How Much?

How Much?

We are always asking how much something costs; how much do we need
for various things; and how much longer do we have to wait? Did you know
the Psalmist prayed that God’s mercy and loving-kindness would be upon us
in proportion to our waiting and hoping for the Lord? How are you waiting
for the Lord? Are you anxiously waiting or have you become complacent
thinking “Yeah, everybody (in Christian circles) says Jesus is coming soon.
But, they have been saying that forever.” Make no mistake He is coming
again – how much of His mercy and loving kindness are you experiencing?

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Psalmist wrote, “For in Him does our heart
rejoice, because we have trusted (relied on and been confident) in His holy
name. Let Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, be upon us, in proportion
to our waiting and hoping for You.” Psalm 33:21-22 (AMP)

Today, examine your expectation of His return.
