Morning Thoughts – Distractions

Distractions

Distractions are any “thing that prevents someone from giving full
attention to something else.” What are your distractions? What
keeps you from reading God’s word? We are not unique in that we
are the only ones who have distractions. Jesus had many distractions,
people calling on Him for attention wherever he went. Yet, He did not
allow those distractions to prevent Him from spending time with the
Father or from His calling.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Hebrews records, “Looking away [from all
that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our
faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher
[bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining
the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and
ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne
of God. Hebrews 12:2 AMP

Today, set aside those distractions and spend time with Jesus.
