Morning Thoughts – Comfort
Comfort
One thing about Americans, we take comfort seriously. We simply
don’t like to be uncomfortable. When trouble comes, what do you
do? Do you look for someone to comfort you? God provides comfort
to us in our times of trouble so that we can comfort others in their
time of need. Simply put – We can only minister to others out of that
which we have suffered/experienced.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “Blessed be the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of sympathy (pity and mercy) and
the God [Who is the Source] of every comfort (consolation and
encouragement), Who comforts (consoles and encourages) us in every
trouble (calamity and affliction), so that we may also be able to comfort
(console and encourage) those who are in any kind of trouble or distress,
with the comfort (consolation and encouragement) with which we
ourselves are comforted (consoled and encouraged) by God.”
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 AMP
Today, if you need comfort let God comfort you. If you don’t need
comforting, thank God and then go comfort someone who is in need
of being comforted.
Be Blessed and Be a Blessing.
Remember God Loves You and I Do Too.
