Certainty

I’m sure you have heard there is nothing certain in life except death
and taxes. However, the most certain event of all history was the birth
of Jesus. Luke recorded for us the certainty of the things we have been
taught about Jesus.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Luke recorded, “Many have undertaken to
draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just
as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were
eyewitnesses and servants of the word. With this in mind, since I myself
have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided
to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that
you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.”
Luke 1:1-4 (NIV)

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Isaiah foretold of Jesus’s birth he recorded,
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government
shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful,
Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of
Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)

Today, you can believe not only the certainty of His birth, death, and
resurrection; but also in His soon return.
