Morning Thoughts – Belonging

Belonging

Belonging means to be connected.   When belonging to a family,
there is responsibility, joy, peace, hope, pain and sometimes
frustration; but belonging is so comforting.  Luke said, Joseph
belonged to the house and line of David.  He must have felt
frustration at having to travel at that particular time, due to the
impending birth of Mary’s baby.  None-the-less,  Joseph travelled
because of family.  If you are traveling this year to be with family,
enjoy each moment – no matter the situation.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Luke wrote, [ The Birth of Jesus ] In
those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should
be taken of the entire Roman world. So Joseph also went up from
the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town
of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He
went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married
to him and was expecting a child.  Luke 2:1, 4-5 (NIV)

Today, be encouraged that you belong.
