Beach or Mountains
I’m not sure which I love the most the Beach or the Mountains. When I walk
along the beach, the sand moves and is displaced so easily by my feet. Yet
when I walk along the mountains, the rocks are so solid and unmovable.
Life is like that. When we build our lives on unstable shifting sand, there
is insecurity, fear and uncertainty. But when we build our lives around faith
in God, we are secure and filled with hope. Jesus spoke to this very issue
when he said:
“So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them [obeying
them] will be like a sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his
house upon the rock. And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds
blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been
founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of Mine and
does not do them will be like a stupid (foolish) man who built his house
upon the sand. And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew
and beat against that house, and it fell—and great and complete was the
fall of it.” Matthew 7:25-27 (AMP)
Today, is a new day. Shore up your foundation with the word of God.
