Loving and Giving

At our Woman’s Missionary Union meeting yesterday, we discussed so many ministry needs not only in our immediate area; but also, around the world.  Statistics reflect attendance is down in most churches.  Why does that matter? When attendance is down so is giving, which affects the ability of our churches to minister to the needs of the hurting. When our nation suffered a devastating attack on 9/11/01, the churches filled.  For the churches to minister to the hurting needs of others, we must not only be a part of the church; but we must also give to the church. Our example of loving and giving comes from God who loved the world He created so much that He gave His only Son to redeem it.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, John wrote, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16 (NKJV)
