Know
Have you ever thought you heard God say something to you that did not come to pass? How did you feel? Last fall, we planned a cruise to Alaska, the only state my 92 year old Mother had not visited. Throughout the year, Mom had many health issues; yet, I continued to believe God had told me she was going to go with us on the cruise. It was not to be. She became ill the day before the cruise and spent the entire cruise time in the hospital. The disappointment was compounded by my concern that I had not heard God correctly. It has been an humbling experience. There are some things, we simply will not know until we see Him face to face.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:2 (KJV)
Today, rest in the certainty of knowing Jesus Christ and Him crucified. On that we can depend and know for certain.
