Identity

Identity

From where do you get your identity?  Do you consider your identity because of your relationship to others, your profession or some other designation? As we age, our worldly identity changes.  Perhaps we retire from our jobs and no longer identify with a particular profession.  However, when we have our identity in Christ, we are secure and our position/identity does not change.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” Galatians 2:20 (AMPC)

Today, if you have given your life to Christ, then He lives in you.  He is your identity.  Live by His faith.
