Hope

For what do you hope? What does it mean to hope? For the Christian, hope is the confident assurance of our salvation.  As a Christian, the hope of eternity with Christ brings joy, peace and a confidence that He who promised is able to deliver on that promise.  Christians have had an experience with Christ and as such are not at the mercy of a person with an argument. Paul wrote, “And hope will never fail to satisfy our deepest need because the Holy Spirit that was given to us has flooded our hearts with God’s love.” (Romans 5:5 [VOICE])

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.” Romans 8:22-25 (KJV)

Today, rejoice in hope – the confident assurance of your salvation.
