Great Love
How great is your love? Do you help the weak and needy? Do you reach out to those whose lives have been touched by drugs and alcohol? We attended a church years ago where a man from the church ministered to men and women who were homeless and oftentimes, on drugs and alcohol. These people were considered to be smelly, dirty and unclean by some. This gentleman said we should think how bad we smelled and how unclean we were before Christ saved us from our sins. Sin is filthy and stinky in the eyes of God and yet Christ came to clean us up and love us into the kingdom.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:6-8 (KJV)
Today, if you haven’t given your life and heart to Jesus, wont you do that now?
