Filled

When I was a little girl, my dad would drive up to a gas station and tell
the attendant to “fill-it-up.”    He wanted the gas tank to be full so we
would have plenty of gas to get where we were going.  The same is true
with our spiritual lives.  We need to be filled with God’s Holy Spirit, who
helps us reach our destination.  We cannot do it if our spirit is sitting on
empty.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “that Christ may dwell in your
hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may
be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length
and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge;
that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”  Ephesians 3:17-19 (NKJV)

Today, begin to fill your spiritual tank with God’s love.
