Fear (Part 4)
We boast/brag about our children, grandchildren, homes, cars and a host of other things. Have you ever boasted or bragged about the Lord and what He is doing, has done and will do? When you are in a fearful state, try just bragging about the Lord’s ability to see you through your circumstances. After all, He has seen you through many trials in your life. In the throws of fear, open your mouth and say out loud words of blessing, praise and bragging about what God has done for you. The result says the Psalmist is that humble people will be glad to hear words of hope.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Psalmist wrote, “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul will make its boast in the Lord; The humble will hear it and rejoice. O magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together. I sought the Lord, and He answered me, And delivered me from all my fears.” Psalm 34: 1-4
(KJV)Today, brag on God. Tell someone how He has cared for you during difficult fearful times. They need to hear it. Hebrews 13:5 says, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
