Enlightened

To be enlightened is to be informed.  We are called to be enlightened about many things so we can make rational and informed decisions.  We learn throughout our life and use those experiences to make informed decisions.  The most important decision we can ever make is to accept Christ as our Lord and Savior.  Paul tells us we are to be enlightened so we may know the hope to which we have been called  How do we do that?  The first step is to surrender your life to Christ, get in His word and let Him lead you through this maze called life.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,”  Ephesians 1:18 (NIV)
