Doing Good

Yesterday, one of our senior members passed from this life into her heavenly home.  As I thought on her this morning, I’m mindful of the things she did through our church.  If your church is like most churches, there are many who are old and infirm.  What do you do for  them? They have been the stalwarts of the faith and carried the banner of Christ for many years.  Now it is time for us to do good to them.  We are the feet, arms, and hands of Christ.  Sometimes they may just need a hug. Sometimes they may need a meal or help to the doctor.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul records, “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”  Galatians 6:10 (KJV)

Today, evaluate your service to our senior members of the household of faith and do good to them.
