Desires

Desire is “a strong feeling of wanting to have something or wishing for something
to happen.”  What do you desire and do those desires lead you to have a stronger
walk with the Lord or lead you away from your walk with the Lord?  The Psalmist
wrote, “Be delighted with the Lord. Then he will give you all your heart’s desires.”
(Psalm 37:4 TLB)  So, what are your desires?

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Luke recorded Jesus when He said, “Then he said to all,
“Anyone who wants to follow me must put aside his own desires and conveniences
and carry his cross with him every day and keep close to me! Whoever loses his life
for my sake will save it, but whoever insists on keeping his life will lose it;”
Luke 9:23-24 (TLB)

Today, draw near to and delight in Jesus and He will give you life like you never thought
possible.
