Decisions
Are you faced with a particularly difficult decision? The story of King Solomon came to mind regarding decisions he knew he would have to make as the King of Israel. One night in a dream, God asked him “What shall I give thee?” Solomon asked for wisdom to be able to rightly judge the people of Israel. God granted him wisdom. Then came two women with one baby – each claiming the baby and saying the other woman’s baby had died. What to do? (Read 1 Kings 3:23-28 for the rest of the story) King Solomon was in right relationship with God and asked for wisdom before he needed it. If you are facing a difficult decision, ask God for wisdom to help you. He will give it to you.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Solomon wrote, “If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him.” James 1:5 (AMPC)
Today, ask God for the wisdom you need in life and he will give it to you. Prepare for those decisions before you need wisdom. You will be glad you did.
