Debt

Do you have any debt?  It seems the American way is to live in debt.  How would you like it if someone paid your debt completely?  Would you be grateful?  What would you be willing to do for that person, who paid all of your debt?  Jesus paid a debt he did not owe.  It was a debt that we could not pay.  How do you feel about Him?  Are you thankful?  How do you show that gratitude?

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Isaiah records “But he was wounded and bruised for our sins.  He was beaten that we might have peace; he was lashed–and we were healed!  We — everyone of us– have strayed away like sheep!  We, who left God’s paths to follow our own.  Yet God laid on him the guilt and sins of every one of us!”  Isaiah 53:5-6 (TLB)
