Days of Our Lives

What do we know about the days of our lives?  The first thing we know is that they are are numbered.  We will not live forever here on this earth. The second and most significant thing we know is that when we accept the finished work of Jesus on the cross, and receive forgiveness for our sins, we have eternal life.  David, the Psalmist, knew about eternal life long before Jesus was born.  He also knew that God’s goodness and mercy would follow us all the days of our lives.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Psalmist wrote, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.” Psalm 23:6 (KJV)

Today, if you belong to Jesus, REJOICE because His goodness and mercy are following you all the days of your life and one day you and all who know Him will dwell in His house forever.
