Confession
Confession
A Scottish Proverb says, “Confession is good for the soul.” King David said, “I
acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I did not hide. I said, I will confess
my transgressions to the Lord [continually unfolding the past till all is told]—then
You [instantly] forgave me the guilt and iniquity of my sin. Selah [pause, and calmly
think of that]! (Psalm 32:5 AMP) Have you spent any time confessing your sins to
the Lord? To confess is to acknowledge/admit your sins. God only asks us to confess
our sins to him. He has done everything else for us.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, John wrote, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just
and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 (NIV)
Today, ask God to show you your sins and then confess them to Him. He will forgive you.
Be Blessed and Be a Blessing.
