Comfort

Many in our nation and around the world have lost loved ones and are experiencing various trials. What do we do? I don’t want to sound simplistic; but there is only one who can comfort us during these times – It is our Father in Heaven. He knows everything about us and this trying situation.  Nothing has taken him by surprise.  After or rather at the time of the 911 attack, our nation turned to God in prayer and sought Him; however, little by little we fell away from our devotion and dedication to serving the Lord.  We have been given another opportunity to repent, pray and seek Him.  He is the only one who can comfort, heal, and deliver us from this trouble we face.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” 2 Corinthians 2-4 (KJV)

Today, repent (turn from sin), pray and seek God and be comforted.
