Comfort

In America, we like to live in physical comfort; however, the cry of our hearts is to be comforted when we have pain, suffered a loss or are in anguish over some situation.  As a Christian, you can be assured  of that comfort – How?  It is the promise of our Lord Jesus.  He said, He would send us a comforter, who would be with us and in us.  So when you are in need of comfort regardless of the reason, turn to the God of all comfort and just ask His sweet Holy Spirit to comfort you in your hour of need.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, John recorded Jesus when He said, “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” John 14:16-18 (KJV)

Today, receive your comfort from God’s Holy Spirit, who came to comfort us.  If you haven’t yet received Christ as your Lord and Savior, do it now and receive Him and all that He has for you.
