Clay
Clay
A potter puts clay on a wheel, pats, spins and molds a vessel with his hands. The clay becomes what the potter chooses to make. Afterward the clay is put in a heated kiln, when cool it is painted and heated again. It is a process required for the finishing of a useful vessel. God is the potter and we are the clay. During the process, things sometimes don’t feel pleasant; but, He is making us vessels fit for His use.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Isaiah records, “But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.” Isaiah 64:8 (KJV)
Today, no matter what you are experiencing, God is at work and this day did not take Him by surprise.
