Chosen

Choosing ripe vegetables and fruit requires a different approach depending upon the type of fruit or vegetable.  Some are squeezed; some are sniffed; and some are simply looked upon. When you were chosen by God to be His son or daughter, perhaps you were squeezed with life events that lead you to look up and see your hope is found only in God. Perhaps God saw the beautiful fragrance your life would reveal when you lived it for Him or perhaps, He looked upon you and saw your need for Him.  No matter how you were chosen – you were chosen. Since God chose you, are you letting Him live through you?  Are you faithful to His call or have you faltered on the journey? We all falter and fail at times; however, it is what we do when that happens that reveals Gods love, mercy, grace and forgiveness.  Our lives are not long upon this old earth and we can return to the shepherd of our souls and get back on track when we falter.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Peter wrote, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light; Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” 1 Peter 2:9-10 (KJV)

Today, get back on track and follow Jesus fully trusting Him.  He is merciful to all who call upon Him.
