Choosing
Today, many choices are before us. If we look ahead to the future, we may get discouraged by what we see in our world; however, choosing to serve the Lord is a day by day, moment by moment decision. It is simple and really not complicated. Just as Joshua declared, this day he and his household would serve the Lord. We declare on a daily basis whether or not we will choose to serve the Lord.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15 (NIV)
Today, choose to serve the Lord.
