Benefit #5 – Satisfy with Good
Benefit #5 – Satisfy with Good
Unlike the other four benefits, we are told why God satisfies us with good. Psalm 103:5 “Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” Isaiah 40:31 records, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” What about the satisfaction of good things? Things don’t always look good to us, especially when we have difficulties, trials and tribulations; however, Roman’s 2:4b records “. . .the goodness of God leads to repentance.” Be comforted and know God’s goodness is working in you to bring you through those situations with the ability to soar higher like an eagle.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Psalmist wrote, “Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Psalm 103:1-5 (KJV)
Today, Bless the Lord and forget not all His benefits. Receive His benefit of Steadfast Love and Mercy.
