Afraid
Of what are you afraid? It seems that fear tends to paralyze us and make us ineffective. At the birth of Jesus, angels came and said “Fear not.” When Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to Jesus’ tomb, again the angel told them to not be afraid. It seems no matter what happens, we are encouraged to not be afraid. No matter what is going on in your life, don’t be afraid. This day did not take Jesus by surprise. He knew you and this day before the foundation of the world and you can be confident he is in control.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Matthew records, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.” Matthew 28: 5-6 (NIV)
Today, trust Jesus and don’t be afraid.
