Abide

Your best friend calls and asks you to come to help him/her.  When you became friends, you looked forward to spending time together; but, now you have moved on and are not as close as you once were. Your best friend, Jesus, is calling you to a more intimate relationship; but, time has removed you from that close relationship you experienced at the time of your salvation.  He waits for you – He longs for you – He LOVES YOU.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, John wrote, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.”  John 15:4 (KJV)

Today, carve out some time to abide in Jesus.  He has only good for you.
